Taoiseach Micheál Martin has stated he has full confidence in the Attorney General Paul Gallagher.
This comes after it recently emerged that Mr Gallagher had been performing in a non-public capability for former administrators of Impartial Information & Media in the firm’s proceedings with Excessive Courtroom-appointed inspectors.
It has been reported that the inspectors have been appointed by the Excessive Courtroom following a request from the Workplace of the Director of Company Enforcement, a state physique.
Mr Martin has stated that the work was performed together with his full information.
“I do in fact have full confidence in the Attorney General,” Mr Martin instructed Newstalk
“I requested the Attorney General to serve due to his work ethic and due to his integrity.
“And he did point out that he needed to complete out three skilled obligations that he had in respect of three instances.”
The final of these completed two weeks in the past which was the case for the former administrators of Impartial Information and Media.
